There are two larger supermarkets within 5 Km, Massy’s in Holetown and Jordan’s in Speightstown, the former having more selection. Both supermarkets provide a shuttle service. In addition to these major food shopping venues there are many fruit and vegetable stands and Fish Markets that provide local and fresh produce. There is also a Rubi’s petrol station just a short walk from the villa which sells some basic items.

Lime Grove mall in Holetown has a large array or high-end duty free shops and there are also Sheraton and the Sky Mall further afield. Bridgetown also has a variety of Shops both Duty Free and local.

Medical Centres are Nearby

Happy Returns is 32 km from Grantley Adams International Airport (BGI) and is 18 km from the capital Bridgetown.

Public transport on Barbados is very good, there are Government run (mainly blue and with yellow) and privately operated (mainly yellow with blue), buses both charge the same BBD$3.50(US$1.75). The Government bus system (www.transportbaord.com) works to a schedule and travels to most tourist places on the island and have posted Bus Stops (In and Out of City), the private buses will stop anywhere but mainly run between major centres. Some smaller white with red stripe vans (ZR’s) also feed the systems. The nearest bus stop is just outside the complex.

Taxis are also a popular way of getting around. If you need to arrange transportation, we can recommend a driver.

There are many restaurants along the west coast between Holetown (5Km) and Speightstown (1.5Km), that cater for all tastes and budgets, some within walking distance some requiring either Public transit (bus, taxi) or a short drive.

Elsewhere on the island there are many fine dining restaurants with spectacular views.
