Monkeys!

Have you been lucky enough to see the monkeys walking by while you’ve stayed at Happy Returns? It’s believed that they originally came from Senegal and Gambia about 350 years ago and since then their population has grown to approximately 14,000 monkeys. You’ll often see them in the trees at the front of the house around 630am and coming home from their day of foraging around 530pm. They’ve also been known to run along the back roofs and walk along the patios! But don’t worry they never come down into the gardens but they might stop and watch you while you watch them.

Look forward to seeing everyone coming back to enjoy Happy Returns and this beautiful Island!
